The floor lamp is designed from meranti and obeche. The body of the angel consists of red meranti, sometimes referred as Red Luan, a wood native from Southeast Asia, typically of a dark reddish or purplish brown, commonly with white resin streaks. The grain can be straight or interlocked with a coarse texture. The wings of this wood lamp are designed from obeche, a pale yellow wood from Tropical West Africa with the colours darkening with age. The grain is interlocked with a medium to coarse texture. It was carefully sanded and coated with a fine italian lacquer for design and durability.
