This bedside lamp is based on the vision of a sitting lady on the river bank and it was chosen to be designed as minimalistic as possible. The lamp as a whole gives the idea of a peaceful environment and also a comfortable one due to the colours combination of birch wood from the base and the ash veneer used for the lampshade. The birch wood used for the lamp’s base has some irregular grain produced by the small knots, which gives the unicity of this piece.

The birch wood is close-grained with a satiny texture and capable of taking a fine polish and that was the reason for this wood to be chosen for the base. After sanding, for a final touch, a fine lacquer was applied to give the durability of the finish. The ash veneer has interesting grain features which made this lamp shade even more decorative and ornate. The ash veneer also enhances the look of the wood lamp, giving it colour, tone, and depth.
Being a medium lamp makes it easy to be placed on either side of the couch or in the corners of the living room, but also on the bedside nightstands. It can serve as a great source of ambient and reading light, but it’s also a great room makeover.
