It’s made from three types of wood and the first among them is mahogany, a wood with the distribution from Southern Mexico to central South America, with a pinkish brown to a dark reddish brown hardwood. The grain can be straight, interlocked, irregular or wavy. The second type of wood utilised in the design of this modern lamp is meranti, native from Sotheast Asia. It’s a pale yellowish-orange wood when cut, aging to a golden yellow-brown. It has a coarse texture with a interlocked grain. The other type of wood  is obeche, a pale yellow wood native from Tropical West Africa with an interlocked grain.
