The wood from which this classic tall lamp was designed is black walnut native from North America. The American Black Walnut is an attractive darker hardwood. The heartwood can range from a pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks and the grain is usually straight, but can be irregular. In terms of durability it is highly resistant to decay. For accessibility the switch is placed on the cable.
